India’s private firm Reliance Infra, which was contracted to supply parts for the Arjun Mark II battle tank prototype, has now said that it will be delivering the parts six months ahead of the set deadline.
The company will supply parts to the Combat Vehicle Research and Development Establishment (CVRDE) which is part of the state-owned Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
The parts are manufactured at Reliance Infra company’s facility in Silvassa, Gujarat. The company is mainly manufacturing the hull and turret for the Arjun Mark II.
Arjun Mk-II is an upgraded version of the Arjun tank that features a 120mm main rifled gun.
