Security Forces on Thursday gunned down two militants in an encounter operation near Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora. The militant’s outfit is not yet revealed, but they were most likely from Hizb.

A cordoned-off search operation was also launched afterward.

Just before, two militants were also killed, including a top commander Ataf Kachroo and Omar Rashid Wani were also killed and were from Hizbul Mujahideen. On the same day, four Kashmir police were also killed while militants fired at Shopian.

In the recent time, there has been an increase in the attacks on local police, which is a matter of serious concern that needs to be addressed soon.
