The aircraft that was in cold storage since last year seems to have begun a new journey with rigorous testing. One such test will be landing and taking off from an aircraft carrier.

Per the report, the aircraft will be performing a series of touch and go on Indian Navy Aircraft Carrier INS Vikramaditya. This will be a big leap in the development of the carrier-borne aircraft. Currently, the Mig-29k is the sole fighter aircraft of Indian Navy that is able to operate from an aircraft carrier.

Performing operations from an aircraft carrier is not an easy task, as it requires extensive training and few are qualified to do so.

The Naval Light Combat Aircraft is derived from Tejas of the Air Force.
