In a bid to boost the ties between India and the United States, the U.S. has now designated India under the list of Strategic Trade Authorization-1 (STA-1). This means ease in the policy of exports.
The information was shared by Wilbur Ross who is Secretary of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. India will now be able to get access to high-end U.S. equipment and will be able to import easily without many hurdles.
There are 36 designated countries on the U.S. STA-1 list. India is the only country in South Asia on the list, and the third in Asia after South Korea and Japan.
Such a move will surely boost the ever-growing ties between both the nations.
