The very first Light Combat Aircraft Tejas Squadron “No-45 Flying Daggers” has now shifted its air operations to Sulur Air Base of Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu. The Squadron was earlier based in Banglore since 2016 when it inducted the Tejas two years ago.

A ceremony was organized for the beginning of the fighter air operations. Many high dignitaries attended the event.

The Sulur Air Base has enough resources to support Tejas operations. An LCA simulator to train new fighter pilots has also been installed.

Tejas is a light combat aircraft developed by HAL and will be replacing the aging Mig21 aircraft in Indian Air Force.
