After India dropped its plan for the purchase of additional Pc-7 MKII Trainers, South Korea will now pitch its KT-1 basic trainers to the Indian Air Force.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in will be visiting India on Monday to discuss the bilateral issues. Speculations are made that South Korea will be offering the ‘KT-1’ trainer which is produced by Korean Aircraft Industries.

This is not the first time that South Korea is pitching their aircraft. They also did the same in 2011 when India was looking for basic trainers. IAF later chose the Swiss-made Pc-7MKII.
