IAF Team lands Australia for the Pitch Black Exercise

For the first time, the Indian Air Force will be participating in the big Multi-Lateral Air Exercise Pitch Black in Australia. IAF Contingent already landed at the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) base in Darwin.

The IAF Contingent consists of SU-30MKI, one C130J Super Hercules, and one C17 Globemaster. The Contingent also consists of a team of Garud Special Forces.

“Indian Air Force C-17 had landed at the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) base Darwin this morning to participate in Pitch Black – the largest Air Force exercise in the Southern Hemisphere,” said Canberra-based Indian High Commission.

The team kicked off its journey for the exercise on July 17th where they headed to Indonesia and from there to Darwin, Australia.
