Security forces have gunned down nearly 581 terrorists since 2015. All were gunned down during ceasefire violations. 69 security personnel were also killed in the ceasefire violations near the Line of Control.

Among 69 security personnel who died, 25 were from the Border Security Force (BSF) and the remaining 44 personnel from the Army.

The information was shared in Parliament by Minister of State for Defense Subhash Bhamre on Wednesday. He also cited the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) report on the military expenditure with the special focus on China expenditure.

Most of the terrorists that were gunned down were of Pakistan origin. Pakistan has been constantly engaged in violating the ceasefire agreement.
