In a back-to-back success, Indian Security Forces gunned down two militants in Koimoh area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday. The militants were from the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist outfit, which is very active in the area.
Acting on specific information, a joint operation was conducted in afternoon in the Cheddar Qaimoh area of Kulgam district where the terrorists were holed up in a house. The encounter continued until midnight and ended with the gunning down of two militants.
A top divisional commander of LeT, Shakoor Ahmad Dar, was also killed in the encounter, and another was Haider. One terrorist was also caught alive.
