In a move to bolster the ties with the African nation, India will give $100 million in military loans to Seychelles. India will also gift one surveillance aircraft Do-228 to the nation.
The information was shared during a joint press conference at Hyderabad House in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced about the military loan of $100 million to Seychelles to buy defence equipment from India.
“The second Dornier aircraft I promised during my visit to Seychelles March 2015 is ready to be handed over tomorrow. Its model is now seen in front of you all. It will arrive there on time to participate in the Festival of the National Day of Seychelles on June 29.”- Narendra Modi.
Apart from the loan, India will finance three civilian infrastructure projects in Seychelles.
