Seychelles finally agreed to the proposed plan of an Indian Naval base in the country. Now both countries will together work on developing a naval base at the Assumption Island.

India raised concerns about the delays of the island with Seychelles President Danny Faure, who is on an official visit to India. After the negotiations, both India and Seychelles agreed by keeping mutual interest in mind.

“We have agreed to work together on Assumption Island project based on each other’s rights,” -Prime Minister Modi.

Seychelles is located in a very strategic position and is also a good strategic partner of India. India keeps a very healthy relationship with Seychelles and provides loans to the country.
