In less than 72 hours, the Indian Air Force has suffered another loss. A second Sepecat Jaguar Strike fighter aircraft crashed in Jamnagar. No human life loss was reported and the pilot ejected safely.
As per the available information, the aircraft, which was on a training sortie in the morning, developed a snag while landing roll. The pilot ejected safely but the aircraft was destroyed.
“At around 9:20 am, the pilot of a Jaguar aircraft, on a routine mission from Jamnagar, safely ejected when the aircraft developed a snag during the landing phase. It was a minor accident. The pilot is safe,” according to an Indian Air Force statement.
It is to be noted that this is the second crash in less than 72 hours. In the first crash, the senior pilot lost his life.
