India-Japan to hold joint counter-terrorism military exercise

May 10, 2018

In a bid to increase the ties between India and Japan, both countries have now decided to conduct a joint counter-terror military exercise.

‘’We are currently coordinating with the Counter-Insurgency Jungle Warfare School (CIJW) in Mizoram and other relevant organisations to prepare for the exercise,’’ said Japanese Ambassador to India Kenji Hiramatsu.

Beside this, both countries are now working to increase their engagement in the military sphere as part of building deep relations.

It is to be noted that both Japan and India are being bullied by China by claiming rights on some of the territories of Japan and India. Such exercise will gradually boost the relations and as well as provide a platform to learn new tactics of warfare from each other.
