In a big success for the paramilitary forces, the CRPF gunned down five cadres of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) in Jharkhand. The encounter was carried out near Bhargaon forests of Latehar district on Wednesday morning.
Acting on the specific inputs regarding the movements of Maoists, a joint encounter was conducted by the Latehar district on Wednesday morning in the deep jungles of the Sikid-Kerh forests.The encounter lasted for hours and it was a big success.
“The search operation is on to retrieve dead bodies (of the Maoists). Two bodies have been retrieved,” Palamu range deputy inspector general of police (DGP) Bipul Shukla said.
The identity of the Maoists are still not revealed due to few details on the encounter.
