Three terrorists gunned down in Kashmir
In a big success for counter-insurgency operations, security forces gunned down three militants in the early morning hours of Monday. The encounter took place in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Acting on specific inputs about the presence of militants in the Hakura area, a joint operation was launched Sunday night. The encounter was then started and three militants were killed.
“Pursuing credible leads in the presence of militants, security forces started the search in the Hakoora area of Anantnag district. While the search was going on the hiding militants fired upon the search party. The fire was retaliated by the security forces ensuring an encounter,” according to a police spokesperson statement.
Two militants were later identified as Eesa Fazli of Srinagar, Syed Owais of Kokernag and police are still looking to identify the third militant.
