The elite Indian Space Research and Organisation is now all set to launch one of its ambitious communication satellites, GSAT-6A on Thursday.
The launch will be conducted from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Andhra Pradesh’s Sriharikota around 4:56 pm. The GSAT-6A is the predecessor GSAT-6 and has more high power S-band communication satellite.
The satellite will be India’s most powerful communication satellite and second S-band communications satellite. The satellite will be employed to provide a platform demonstration of 6m S-Band module system, handheld ground terminals, network management techniques and also for communication applications.
For the mission, GSLV-F08 rocket with the indigenous cryogenic stage rocket engines will enable the vehicle to carry more loads.
