In a ferocious gunfight, security forces, gunned down 12 Naxals including senior Maoist leader Hari Bhushan. The encounter took place in the areas near the Telangana-Chhatisgarh borders and was conducted by the police and other agencies. One constable of Greyhound Forces was also martyred in the encounter.
As per reports, the police, along with an elite anti-Naxal force, Greyhounds, laid a siege against the Naxals also known as Maoists after receiving specific input about the movement. The gunfight lasted for many hours.
Twelve Naxals were killed in total which includes the senior Maoist leader and it’s Telangana secretary Hari Bhushan and also six female Naxalists. A huge cache of arms and ammunition were also recovered.
The Home Ministry in the last few years has dealt with Naxilsts with iron hands.
