Indian Navy to conduct joint naval exercise with UAE
In a move to increase its maritime security ties with the UAE, the India Navy will hold a joint naval drill with UAE Navy. This will be the first joint naval drill between both nations. It will be conducted in the Gulf Sea.
The decision was taken during the visit of PM Modi to UAE. During the visit, he put emphasis on conducting a naval exercise and to work together in combating terrorism as well as a defense partnership.
During the visit, PM Modi also met Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE. Both released a joint statement which was aimed at tackling terrorism and radicalization. India’s premier ISRO will also help UAE in space missions.
