Air Chief flies Mig-21

One of the most active Air Chiefs of the Indian Air Force B.S. Dhanoa flew the Mig21UM at India’s Premier Airforce Base Nal which is located in Bikaner of Rajasthan.

The chief was on a three day visit to the base to bid adieu to the IAF No-108 “Hawkeyes” squadron which is being “number plated. The squadron will phase out its fleet of Mig-21M.

“Chief of the Air Staff, callsign ‘Air Force One’, flew the last sortie of the ‘Hawkeyes’ thus bringing a glorious end to the reign of the T-96 aircraft, with the squadron,” according to an official statement.

During the visit, he interacted with officers and airmen’s of the Air Force station. He also addressed all and emphasized the importance of aerospace safety, its various aspects and stressed on the security of the Air Force station.
