After the Indian Air Force, the Indian Navy conducted the test firing of a medium-range surface-to-air missile from INS Kochi destroyer.
The test was conducted on Tuesday from the frontline combat warship INS Kochi. The test was conducted to validate the ship’s capabilities in operating the newly installed SAM. The ship performed all the tracking and guiding activities all alone and only navy personnel were involved. It was more like user trials.
