Two new Light Combat Aircraft Tejas to fly soon

Very soon two new serial production Light Combat Aircraft will be flying in No-45 squadron of the Indian Air Force. A total of 11 aircraft will fly till next financial year.

In order to increase their production, Hindustan Aeronautical Limited is now deciding to outsource the production under which private firms will make nearly 70% of the aircraft. Major components like centre fuselage, front fuselage, rear fuselage, wings, have already been outsourced to the private industry and very soon, other parts as well.

India’s Light Combat Aircraft (LCA), together with its variants, is the smallest and lightest multi-role supersonic fighter aircraft of its class. This single engine, Compound-Delta-Wing, tailless aircraft is designed and developed by ADA with HAL.

In 2016, the Indian Air Force inducted the Tejas in the No-45 Squadron with IOC Certified Tejas.
